pretty ballerina
geschrieben von Chris              am 17.02. um 19:37:18Hi: When I started ballet at age 10, I showed up for class in black leotards over white tights, just like the other kids, all girl. The dance teacher did not say anything ot tell me ot wear my tights outside my leo. After a few months, our teacher announced that we could start wearing white practice tutus. Many of the girls did - toward the end of the year (I was 11 by then) was pulling her tutu out of her gymbag and a second one popped out and feww across the floor. I picked it up (you know the kind - lots of netting and a built in ruffled panty) and as I was haning it to her ( and staring at it) she said "Do you want to try it on - comon' you'll look neat. I didn't say anything but let he show me the frint and we both slipped on our tutus. She immediately fluffed the netting so it hang right. While she fluffed hers, I looked at myself in the mirror and almost fainted. I felt so cute - other girls started to arrive and a few said I looked cute and a few just smiled. For some reason, I left it on and wore it the entire class. At the end of the class, I started to take it off, when she said I could keep it. I was so surprised, I just left it on, put on my jacket and left. My jacket covered my leo but not the tutu. Waiting for my mom, I kept looking at my image in the mall windows. I rally felt so cool and didn't think about what I would say to my mom.
