It's easier to do confidently and there's less to confuse parents. Regardless of whether "tejay" is a kid or an adult, his advice about wearing tights often at first is a good idea. When first starting out in class, it's easier when all you have to do is get used to the dancing instead of getting used to dancing and adjusting to the way tights feel.
