I Hate the Mom's...

geschrieben von David  am  um 22:50:14
Kyle, if you can just try to ignore those mothers. It will ber hard but just try.Just imagine that the arn't even there.I have never been able to figure it why people ahve a problem with male dancers and why they have a problem with a guy who wears tights. Don't these people know that tights are worn when in class or performance (not always though). Some people have to make a big deal out of it and some could care less and the ones that I like are the ones who are supportive or who do not make fun of me.I haven't taken any kind of dance classes yet, but I wear dance tights alot. When I run I wear footed dance tights under my shortsI wear them under my clothes in the winter time instead of thermalsI wear them when I do yogaI wear them when I do aerobics at the health clubWhen I need to go the grocery store or the post office or wherever I don't change out of my tights, I just wear them to wherever I am going. I usually have my biker shorts over them or a sweatshirt. When I am out running (usually on a bike/running trail) i run past alot of wowmen and they can plainly see that I am wearing dance tights and not one of them has ever said or looked at me in a strange way. One time one of the women that was also out running stopped to talk to me and after a while of talking she asked if I wanted to run with her and I said yes, then after  we stopped to take a break we sat on a bench to rest and she said I notice that you are wearing wowmens tights and I said yeah. She asked why and I said the tights feel so comfortable and they keep me warm and in the summer thaey keep me cool. She said oh and then said I wish more guys would dress like you. She said that there is nothing wrong with a guy who wants to wear tights especially in public. She said that a guy who wants to dance or who does dance and a guy who wears tights in public is not gay in any way, is not a weirdo, is not f'ed up in the head, but he is brave and knows that this is his busineess and no one elses. Before I ever saw this lady I still had support from other females and some males about wearing dancewear. The only dance wear i wear on a regular basis in public are the tights, and when it is really cold outside I  sometimes wear leg warmers. Also I get support from those in my aerobics and step aerobics class. I was hesatant to wear dance tights in this class but I did and not one person said anything to me or made any deragatory comments.  Now when I am in aerobics and step aerobics class I  wear a leotard (not a running singlet, a wrestlers suit, or a bicylce suit) but a regular leotard over my tights which are either black blue, or fleshtone. No one cares in this class or others that I have been in about what some  one wheres. So Kyle, go ahead and wear your tights and everyone else too and if those morthers or anyone else looks at you in a strange way, say its's not polite to stare and tell them to mind their owen business.                                       DAVID
