I have heard of several cases of boys and men who have taken Pointe as part of their regular ballet classes. If you're not a ballet dancer and still want to wear pointe shoes, you can still go to any dancewear store and get them. If the sales person asks why, just tell them that they're for a costume party, or whatever. I currently own two pairs of pointe shoes. One pair in ballet pink, the other in black. I am awaiting the arrival of my red pointe shoes as I write this. If you're really into ballet attire, your collection is not complete without pointe shoes!!! Answers to this message:
