They make exceptionally cool kid's reference books like the "eyewitness" series, and Stephen Biesty's impeccably illustrated "cross-section" books, not to mention their mega-wicked Star Wars books...) Anyway, this one's called "DK Superguides-Ballet" and it's written by pointe-babe Darcey Bussel. It features beautiful full-color photography (unfortunately, mostly of young kids,) lot's of basic, easy-to digest info about the art, and even some side-trips into ethnic and jazz dance.
