They try to pay me off, but no go. If you're stuck in tights, then I am too (and in my case, a leotard and sweatshirt, with slip-on shoes.)>>>So we spend a day out and yes, people are staring and commenting, but you're not alone anymore. Your folks start laughingly speculating that I have designs on you, but I don't. We endure the stares and mutterings, and become fast friends. >>>Then some teenage girls walk up to us at an outdoor cafe. We'd noticed them staring at us for a while when we were shopping. One of them asks us why we're wearing tights. I immediately reply that we'd lost a bet and were doing out penalty. The girls remark on how brave we are, and how cute we look, much to your mother and sisters' chagrin (this isn't working out at all like they'd planned, and it's further complicated when your sister starts showing an interest in me!).
