On the internet it's always very difficult to count the seams on the very small pictures !!>>The FLEXI WEIGHT LYCRA of Star-Styled is quite thick material.>>Greetings,>>RemmyO>-->You've got me thinking about this "seam count" thing and have a new perspective on it.  Basically, as I see it a single seam has two distinct ending points, either joining with another seam or ending on the edge of material.  So, if you have a side seam that runs from the ankle to the arm, that's one seam (previously I was counting this as two).  Because feet and arms have mandatory seams on all garments, I generally exclude those.  Seam count would be fixed on just the primaries, being legs and torso.>The Baltogs unitard I mentioned would have just 3 primary seams then:  One down the back, and one up each inside leg.  The others would then have 5, adding on the side seams that run from ankle to armpit.  I don't know if Baltogs still makes these.  I got them back in '94, ordered through a dancewear store out of New York City.  They are footed long sleeve unitards, one with a crew neck and the other with a collar neck.  The collared one has slightly thicker material.  Last year I bought a hooded and fingered Baltogs unitard for a costume, and was quite disappointed.  Not only did it have the side seams, but the material was a bit coarse and the fingers were too slender (I had to rip the seams of the middle finger because they were too tight).  So I don't know if Baltogs simply stopped making the "reduced seam" version, or if they only come with certain styles.>Probably the best thing to do is contact a few dancewear suppliers that carry Baltogs and ask them if they carry any styles without side and front seams.  Some will be clueless about your question while others may be able to help.>This Flexi-weight Star Styled unitard sounds interesting.  I've seen Star Styled ones featured on the River's Edge Dancewear site, but they have a limited range of styles.  I wonder if they make a footed version?  What is yours like in terms of color, sleeves, collar, legs, etc.?>~Seamless~

Your quite right ! No one has as much styles as Baltog. Star Styled has nofooted and/or Collar/zipper unitards.

Last time I bought theseDW8000 AD   ADULT LARGE SUGARPLUM   UNITARD FLEXI WEIGHT LYCRA     $19.75     DW8000 AD   ADULT MEDIUM/LARGE FUCHSIA UITARD FLEXI WEIGHT LYCRA   $19.75     DW8003 AD   ADULT MEDIUM/LARGE SKY BLUE    LOW SIDE UNITARD        $15.50DW8003 AD   ADULT MEDIUM/LARGE TEAL        LOW SIDE UNITARD        $15.50

And before that I bought also 2 DW8021 (Teal & Sugarplum Purple)

Star Styled  has no FLEXI WEIGHT LYCRA - unitards with a collar & closed back, most of them have a boatneck, the armlenght is for me a little short. But I like the materiaal very much, it's very shiny thick lycra.

I always buy the closeout items, they are quite cheap !

As you will notice all unitard I have bought are with stirrups.

Be aware of the size ! I ordered Adult "LARGE" but I got two with the label "MEDIUM/LARGE" altough there's is NO such size on their website !!And the "MEDIUM/LARGE" is quite smaller !!

Greetings,RemmyO
