Don't let the odd looks dissuade you, mate (this from a guy who had to stand in a grocery store line for ten minutes while a five-year-old girl loudly and repeatedly c0mmented on his legwear!) public tights-wearing is a must-have experience. Every one of the (few, but numberable) experiences I've had involved this really strange and wonderful feeling of being covered, but exposed-clothed, but naked.
