Love XTC. Even as far as collecting the Fuzzy Warbles discs as they're made available down at Amoeba in LA. I'm always looking for smart pop stuff.

I've never gotten into Yes for some reason. Although, to be honest, I've never given them much of a chance. The whole prog thing is a little intimidating to me - dense, fugue-structured, twelve minute songs about Aldous Huxley, men in massive forts constructed entirely of synthesizers playing seven keyboards at a time while soloing on an electric flute, etc.

I'm sure if I heard the right album my opinion would change. I mean, I like King Crimson and the Mars Volta and they're sort of prog-ish. Anyway, thanks.

For you: Two bands from Scotland - Aereogramme (prog-style, interesting stuff) and Belle and Sebastian (you've probably heard of them but, if not, check them out).
