Actually, seamed tights are still worn and are required by some major dance companies. However, most dancers these days prefer seamles tights because they fit better. Most seamed tights are made on 100% nylon and most dancers these days like their tights to be made of softer and more stretchable material like Supplex.

Plus dancers who do wear tights with seams are driven crazy trying to keep the seams straight. The seams do twist around a dancers legs during class. Some dancers do love the clasic look of tights with seams, but the numbers sadly are not as big as they used to be. I personally love both seeing dancers in seamed tights as well as wear them myself.

You can search the web for pictures of ballerinas in tights by using your search engine and entering ballet pictures. Or you can go to www.dance.net and check out the picture galeries which are full of free pictures of hundreds of young sexy ballerinas in their tights and leotards.
