Wow.>I am a male dancer, and I also dance on pointe. It started about a year ago, when I was recovering from an ankle injury. I had lost strength in my foot postures for martial arts (my first love, I have to admit), and a fellow dancer (female) suggested that I try working en pointe. Sure enough, after I got used to the initial discomfort, it's helped my rehabilitation. My ankles are strong AND flexible, much more so than before. I actually LIKe pointe work...its a change..certainly different. Makes one realize the trouble women go through. :)>Feel free to write back...Aaron Hiya Aron Im walt im a 29 yr old male ballet student in Texas.Ive been taking ballet now for about 2 almost 3 years.Im the only guy in an all adult ballet class I attend, im also the youngest and shortest too.My uniform in class you ask ? it consists of the following items I wear a : white tshirt, black cycling shorts light pink leather ballet slippers worn without socks or hoseI also have shaved legs too a strick requirement in the class im inthe brand of slippers I have are BLOCH leather full sole: pink of coarsewasnt my idea it was the instructor ( a very strict russian teacher) as she put it "to blend in with the class" it doesnt bother me at all really I like wearing these soft leather slippersbarefooted thier very comfortable to use especially at home too.. well I look forward to hearing from you ok? walt Answers to this message:
