Dance belt liner

You should have posted this message on the "serious male dancer" or the "male dancewear board."  I could have responded sooner.

There has been a lot on other boards about dancebelt lining and dancebelt inserts.

You can use a thin layer of foam, like 1/4 of an inch.  You can get this stuff at a fabric store.  Just take your dancebelt and fold the pouch in half, down the middle lengthwise.  Then trace the outside onto the foam.  Cut out two pieces, then sew them down the center to form a cup.

You can line a cup, or the dancebelt itself, with a comfortable fabric, like velvet, cut the same way.

There's a website for Parr or Arizona or Parr International.  I think its www.parrintl.com or www.parr-intl.com.  If that's not right, just search through hotbot.com on the "exact phrase" Parr of Arizona or Parr International.  They make what they call a "swim-cup."  I have a couple of these that I fit into the pouch of my dancebelt.

You can also get "dress-shields" at the fabric store, but these can have funny shapes.

Why do you feel you need to line your dancebelt?  You can email me if you think it's personal...just click on the highlighted "balletboy" above...I'm certain that after my years in ballet I've heard everything about the dancebelt, and probably know how to get the exact result you want.

Keep dancing!  balletboy
