written by Jenny at on 12.06. at 06:02:48 - as answer to: How to tie the ribbon of the pointe shoe? by Tanya at I don't know for sure if this is the proper way but this is the way I have been taught by a few teachers....you take the inside ribbon and wrap it across the top of your foot & around the ankle once(ex. with your left foot...take the inside ribbon and wrap across to the left & around).... stop on the inside of your ankle(ex. left foot..right side)....then take the other ribbon and do the same(yet opposite). When you tie it...I just tie it once then I tie it again but I make sure that I have one loop sticking out so it's easier to unknot later. Then you just tuck it under your ribbons.
