Well Gaynor Mindens don't die, they are made of materials that dont break or weaken, the only way your pointes wouldent be good anymore is that the satin on the tips have worn off. Also, it depends of how much you dance en pointe that will determine when your shoes will die. So you cant predict how long a pair will last. I wear Gaynor Mindens and I've had a pair for 4 months now and dance all the time, and the shanks and everything except for the satin are just as the day I bought them. If you want your tips of the pointe shoes for your GM's to last longer, use mole skin, and they have other stuff you could use so they last longer.
