Hope you enjoy the block work. I have been dancing for 20 years and have been on blocks for ten of them. The main thing about bock shoes is to find a type that suit you, every shoe is different within a brand so you need to go and try on loads of shoes, and as many as possible within each size and brand. It took me an entire morning to find my first pair. It still takes me a good hour of trying on shoes. It may be you need shoes of different sizes for each foot, it does mean buying two pairs at the same time, but it doesn't work out any more expensive in the long run. Best advice - go to a reputable dealer and try on as many as possiible - but if you really want to push for a brand Freed are a good brand for pointe work beginners.Jacqui
