Personal, i think its a grin and bare it thing - no-one siad it wouldnt hurt - jst make sure your shoes fit really well and that you are pulled up outa the shoes. the pros and ex-pros i know never use(d) padding. just be thankfull your pointe shoes have blockes as opposed to the barned satin of the origionals! :Pi dunno tho - theres "ouch pouches" dunno if they work, or u can use lambs wool -but dont use cotton wool as it goes hard when it dryes out after use.
