Re: DANCE BELTS

Your son needs a dancebelt.  The dancebelt is designed to hold the testicles and the penis up out of the way of the crotch.  After your son puts it on, he should reach inside and draw the testicles up as high as they will go, and point the penis up towards the belly-button.  If he wears the penis down, it will force the testicles back towards the crotch.

So the "equipment" should be worn up.

Tights alone, be they "men's tights" or any other type, will not provide sufficient support for the male.

For more serious discussion on the dancebelt and how to wear it, please go to the website www.danceart.com.  They have two boards, called Men in Dance and Guy's Club.  There has been a lot of discussion on the parsimony boards about dancebelts, but some of it is not so "civil."

On danceart.com, over the past six to nine months, there has been discussion about dancebelts that is OK for a 14-year-old to read.  There's one guy, Dancing Doc, who gives real good advice.

The two dancebelts I see most often in dance stores are the Capezios and M. Stevens.  Some have wide, stiff elastic belts, some waist sections are a softer lycra material.  Almost all dancebelts have thong backs, a thin strip of material that is placed between the butt-cheeks.  Star Styled makes a dancebelt that has a full seat.  There was a good hint from the Doc about not pulling up the back of the waist band too high.  This prevents the thong butt-strap from pulling too much, too tight.

Your son may have to try different types before he finds one that is most comfortable.  On the other hand, many guys think that there is no such thing as a comfortable dancebelt.

Good luck!  BalletMaster

>I need some info on dance belts,am I correct in assuming that these belts stop the lads from squashing their testicles between their legs and hurting themselves?.>My 14 year old son has just got into dance and I wasnt aware of these belts,he has been wearing a pair of my aerobics lycra stirrup tights and a T shirt only.>He came home from a recent lesson saying he had hurt his private parts during the lesson and had spent a few minutes sitting down on a chair to recover,he said he was really embarrassed as the girls had all laughed at him.>Do I need to buy him a belt or should he be wearing different tights to mine? although he says they are really comfy they are not mens tights and may not support him properly.>I would appreciate any advice
