Dancestore Experience

geschrieben von Sean at  am 28.03. um 01:35:35
I just had to tell you of my first experience at a dancestore. I'm 25 and about to start ballet. My teacher told me what clothing to buy and recommended a local store. So, nervously I went along. My first shock was to discover a guy working there. He was about my age, dark hair, 5feet 10inches in height and was fantastically good looking. My initial apprehension melted away. This was going to be a lot easier having todeal with a guy. I decided to buy only one item so I'd have a excuse to go back again. I told him I was about to start ballet and I needed a pair of ballet slippers.  He asked what size and then took a pair out of a drawer saying "I can recommend these cos that's what I wear". My heart missed a beat. This just gets better. He's a dancer. He told me to try them on so I sat down and took off my sneakers . Suddenly he was at my feet. I expected him to hand me the slippers but instead he gently put them onto my feet. I couldn't believe this. He then stood up and asked me to do the same. He said we need to check they fit properly. Next thing I knew he'd kicked his off his own sneakers. He had white socks and his feet were broad with amazing arches. This guy certainly was a dancer. He said, "stand in second". I looked confused. "Sorry", he said, "like this" and he demonstrated second for me. Then he showed me how to plie and asked me to hold. That's when he checked how well the slippers fitted. Then he raised his foot and pointed it and then stood on demi pointe. It was amazing watching this guy do these movements in front of me like my own private perfomance. He explained that by doing this I'd feel how much the slippers tightened on certain movements. I asked him how long he'd been dancing he said since he was eight. His physique and great looking feet confirmed this. I asked him would he mind showing the move were you criss-cross the feet. He said sure and demonstrated a fantastic entrechat. I never imagined that buying slippers could be so exciting. I never imagined I'd be served by a dancer who would use his experinece to be so helpful. Has this happened to any of you guys. I expected to be handed a pair of slippers and told to get on with it. I can't wait to go back for my tights!!!
