[i]If your intent is to simply wear the tights just for ballet class (as opposed to other motives which I will not note), then I do not see a problem. If you are a serious student, (you are there for class not a exhibition) and what you are wearing is of nobody elses business but yours. It is, after all what guys in a 'real" ballet class are supposed to wear. And I salute. As a male dancer myself (for many years), I ALWAYS wear footed tights to class. I too, am one of the few men who prefer tights as my attire. That being said, if (and I said IF) your intent is to wear them because you like to wear tights (as well as dance), you need to tell the truth to your girlfriend as soon as possible or you could be facing disasterous results down the road if you plan on a permanent partnership. Don't hide anything from her. Be honest with yourself. Trust me on this one because I have been thru it and it could end a marriage. It almost ended mine. Good luck. [/i]
