for opening the hips and that area..i have that problem and my dance instructor said arabesque...make sure when u do arabesque that your body is a square and your hips are down. if u cant turn your leg and keep them down then ya know..just put your leg out behind you so your the top of your foot is on the floor and then as you get flexible you can slowly start turning it. using the ballet bar and stretching helps you. plies help you. turn out in the feet helps you. hehe, have i overflowed you with boring info yet? i hope this helps you for you hip pain in the spilts.
