It's just a question of spending the money before I know I want to do ballet for sure, really...I'm not at all worried about being self-conscious or anything.  After all, I'm a Goth so I'm used to walking around in makeup!

I agree entirely.  I guess my question was more a case of what to wear from my existing pile of clothes, just for that first time.  Of course after the first lesson I'll be all "balleted-up" from then on  :o)
