I dont wear "women's" tights.  I do wear athletic tights that are designed to wick away water in the colder months to keep dry and from getting frost bite.  Every piece of clothing has it purpose.

I know the history of "tight" wear.  Leotards (full body) were invented by some circus act guy named "LEO".  So yes, the first tights were designed by men for the wear of men.  For some men, and for some reason women get all the interesing clothes through the ages; think of Kilts, Tights, heavy knit sweaters, bla bla bla.  Men just give them up.  The first high heels were worn by men to keep their dress shoes out of the horse crap in the middle of dirt streets, and in the event of rain "muddy street".  Women's clothing followed in a more stylistic fashion.

I will also bring up that corsettes were historically worn by women, however men started wearing them as girdles during the 1800's to help their waste line as well.  Just take a look at some of the western movies depicting "the elite" and "wealthy" families, it was standard procedure and proper to do so.

I am not offended by men who wear tights, just dont think some types of tights that are discussed on this board should be worn by men.

Yes, I agree; dancing comes from the soul.  I find myself putting movements together and discovering new ways to interpret them in terms of mood; displaying how I feel (or at least trying to).
