written by Sim on 30.11. at 13:39:57 - as answer to: finally into a pair of tights by michael I've read some of the replies to this posting.Not all males(whether boys or adult men)who attend ballet classes wear proper mens ballet tights.When I took ballet classes around the age of 11, I wore a pair of my older sister's black ballet tights as it was impossible to buy boy's ballet tights locally.I seem to remember seeing another boy in the same class wearing tights which were not particularly thick or heavy and which belonged to his mother.Not everyone can afford expensive capezio tights especially if they are only taking ballet for pleasure or exercise.I've found women's dance or exercise tights perfectly ok for basic ballet class.
