my teacher prefers it if I wear womans dancewear and has suggested that I even wear my leo over my tights and I find it a lot easier that way since I am not having to pull my tights up all the time

>>>>All of my dancewear is ladies dancewear. I found for me is that the women's,>and especially the tights fit better than men's tights. It doesn't seem to matter though because for the most part dancewear is rather unisex, and unless you point it out to someone, even a teacher, they never know. I read that one>person wants to wear a wrap skirt, and I can understand that, but I suggested he ask the teacher first. But, for the most part, teachers don't seem to have>feelings either way about what guys wear.>>>>That's because most dance schools and teachers are grateful to have one or>men in the class. We're great for partnering and for business. Also, I have >found that the other students, the women, are alot more comfortable, when men>strip down their tights or unitards. They seem to feel less self-concious about>their bodies.>>>>Adult ballet is good business for the schools. So, of course they are less>strict in some of the rules. :)
