written by michael                    on 25.08. at 13:34:06Is it just me or do any other males who have taken ballet classes or enjoy wearing ballet tights feel that it allows them to connect to their feminine side? Having been involved in very macho sports and activities I found ballet class so totally different in terms of its supportive environment.Being the only male in a ballet class of over 20 women I couldn't get over how supportive and encouraging they were to me.The first time I wore a pair of tights to class ,they did not make silly comments as I suspect a male would ahve done but instead several came up to me and thanked me for taking the trouble to put on tights and to adhere to the ballet class conventions.At the end of class as the girls curtseyed and I bowed to the ballet teacher I didn't feel silly or self conscious.Ballet and wearing tights makes me more aware of my feminine side,yet I remain hetrosexual in every sense.
