local colleges and universitites depending on your age (over 18) you may be able to take classes in an athmosphere that is conduscive to group and individual learning.

If you think that may be too much.  Check your local dance supply stores, and ask the owners if they know of or would recommend any local places that offer an adult ballet class (I am assuming you are over 18 again).

You could also purcase a good book at Barnes and Nobles or Borders to get you started with basic technique required so you are not "starting from scratch".  AT least that will get you acquainted with basic terms and positions.
