>my feet will hurt or be damaged by doing pointe. I know that pointe is not for everyone,>some people are not the right size or what have you but can you tell me if I am in any

You are wise to be cautious. You don't say if you are currently studyingballet but if you are not, you will need to start soon.  Pointe work depends on your skill level, determination and instructor.  No you won't lose your toes, but pointe shoes not properly fitted and poor instruction could damageyour feet, knees and hips.  Learn how to go on pointe properly. You arenot too old. It is well worth the time to evaluate the studio and instuctor.Good Luck. Elizabeth >danger of losing my toes forever???
