Well, I won't sugarcoat this.............the odds are really against you!! You can try, but you'd have to take at least 5 to 6 classes a week and sacrifise a great deal. It also depends on how much natural talent you have. Most dancers who have made a career out of ballet started much younger. True some famous ballerinas started dancing late in life. Melissa Heydon started at 15, but she is a very rare example. My person feelings are that if you want to take ballet lessons great, but at your age I wouldn't plan on much of a career in ballet.
