Denise is rather mean-spirited, quite unlike most of the ballerinas I've worked with.  If you like to wear tights, then go ahead and wear them!  Only a few homophobes will think that makes you gay, but there's nothing you can do about those people (other than ignore them).  Enjoy the discipline and beauty of dancing, making art with your body.  The process of making art transcends gender.
