And I've never worn a dance belt in my life, and I'm female, so don't worry about that. SORRY, it is not very appropriate to for the male dancer to wear the leotard outside or over the tights. Men wear the tights over the leotard. FINALLY, A dance belt is as necessary as ballet shoes for men. As a female you have no idea how help full and necessary one is for safety and comfort. PLEASE GET A DANCE BELT. It only takes getting kicked in the groin once to realize what I am talking about.
