Re: Performance at last!!!

It is not unusual for an orchestra/opera conductor to take ballet class, I have heard of it before.  I had as a student a concert pianist - he wanted to be able to walk gracefully across the stage and be able to take a bow.  The same with a conductor.  Also it would improve balance on the podium, I would think.  Ballet is very basic - like the alphabet of movement.  Almost all other forms of dance and athletics have been known to enhance their movement and sport with ballet lessons.  Russian athletes (their national hockey team I believe, takes class twice a week) have done this for years.

At the college at which I taught the football team was required to take ballet class.  Lots of luck with your studies and your performance. Basheva
