Help is here!

Hi Like Electricity!

The "painted on" look is something I learned after taking classes in NYC for several years, and has been termed the NoUniButt look. And then there's the V-look in front, which is made by adjusting the tights.  Send me an email and I'll send you the advice document.

As far as the appearance in the front, there are two looks: The "anatomy lesson" and the "rounded look."  These are achieved in different ways.  For the rounded look, you should not wear an athletic cup, either the hard cup that's used in football or baseball, or a soft cup that's used in soccer.  You need what's called a swim cup, a thin piece of vinyl that has a thin layer of foam on each side.

There are other things that I've seen the professional dancers do for comfort or appearance.  If you're interested, send me an email.  I've posted these things in the past on this site (and others), but they're kind of too specialized for the majority of interests here.

Keep dancing!

>Does anyone have any Idea what the best mens tights are? I keep hearing M. Stevens and Sansha are good. I am looking for tights that give you that "painted on" look. If you don't know what I mean I am talking about those tights that look like you just spray painted your legs black or what ever color the tights may be, but you really have tights on. But I do not want tights that sag, I am never getting Capezio's again because to me they are useless after a few washes, they sag by the knee area in the back of the knees. I want the best I can find that won't sag or become useless on me. Also if anyone knows how to get that look as if you are wearing a cup under your tights, but you are not, I mean, It does not shape out your package it just looks as if you are wearing a thing that prevents the package from being shown. Any help would be great thanks. NO fetish ballet folks responding to my post either you guys are the worst help and are a disgrace to us ballet dancers.
