Wearing a sash could be a valid solution if it is appropriate to your class (could look too much like a random costume part out of context).  Alternatively, you could wear a T-shirt over the top, (which is kind of redundant and contrary to the primary reason to wear a unitard instead of tights).  Or you could just wear the unitard solo and allow your classmates to see your dance belt waistband.  Some guys are shy about their dance belts, some don't care if observers can tell they are wearing one.  It's a personal decision.
