>Hi b!>Try danceart.com (guest entry is possible, but it's a suscriptions site) or danceart.com>Be prepared that these sites are monitored and any topic that smacks of how to wear a dancebelt (like positioning the testicles and penis) or any sexual content (like why do people think ballet danseurs are gay) will be frowned upon.>I started formal classes when I was in high school.  I wanted to start when I was about 4 or 5, but my mother wouldn't let me.  When I bought my first dancewear at age 13 there was this old Italian man who took me in the back room and told me how to wear a dancebelt.>On the sites I mentioned you will find young male dancers who will talk about ballet, but you may not be able to talk about some subjects.>On these parsimony boards, you will find guys like Tom, Dr. Dancebelt, and me that try to give young dancers the information they need; but you'll also find some guys who are less interested in ballet than young men.  So, PLEASE BE CAREFUL!  Even on the boards I recommended you might run into these types of guys who say they are teens but are old perverts.>Don't give your email address to anyone!  Don't tell anyone where you live ( beyond the East Coast, the South, the Midwest or the West Coast).>I know you have questions that you teacher or other guys at your school won't answer, because the topics may be embarassing.  People like Tom, Dr. Dancebelt and me try to give answers; some other guys may push you into discussions that are not appropriate.>Try these sites, but please be careful!!!!>balletboy

Both DanceArt.com and BalletAlert.com are very actively and carefully monitored.  The folks who operate the messageboards are extremely strict about topics that they deem inappropriate.  Messages that cross the line will be deleted before anyone else can read them.

The "line" is not clear, but, in general, it's anything that could possibly upset a parent.

You can also try www.criticaldance.com, which has private messageboards for young dancers.  The messageboards there are also monitored, but, because the private boards are off-limits to any adults but the monitors, the discussions may not be as heavily censored as the ones on the public boards.
