> I'm an 18 year old male interested in beginning ballet lessons. I've
> never had any lessons before and have read from previous posts that
> it is never too late to start.
> However, I was wondering how I should progress with lessons. For
> instance, should I start out with group or private? More
> importantly, for how long should I begin with practice and
> instruction per day, how many days per week, etc.
> I would really like to get a quick start and everything, taking
> lessons for as long as possible at a high frequency, but since I've
> never done any of the ballet warm-ups and the like I'm not sure what
> a reasonable limit would be.
> Thank you, Eric
Eric
I am a male ballet instructor. I have students from beginning to advanced intermediate. I suggest you start with private lessons AND a beginning adult class. You will need to practice daily, since balance, flexibility, and strength are all important components of ballet. I have classes forming for the fall - let me know if you can attend!
THANK YOU, Jim
