[i]In my opera studio, we put curtains (not LEVELORs, unfortunately) in the windows to keep people from staring in and distracting the artists. Although I don't mind rehearsal observations, I wouldn't let anyone off the street come in and watch a coaching I give--which is the equivalent of a lesson. Nor would I allow auditors to come to coaching without the artists' permission and understanding. To quote myself, "IT'S NOT PROFESSIONAL!" To stand, watch and ultimately *gloat* is unhealthy (as well as immature, unprofessional, desperate, etc.).Keep your courage and take the classes for yourself! At the same time, it's not unreasonable for you to expect your instructors and the school management to maintain a professional and respectful environment in which you can study and benefit from the instruction being provided.K>>the spectators were people waiting for spouses children etc. it didn't take long for the word to spread that there was a grown man in tights in one of the classes. >That just staggers me.
