[i]My guess would be that drip-drying leaves the belts too wet.<p>I wash mine in the washing machine (warm, not hot water, gentle<br>cycle) but line-dry them. (In my case, the "line" is a hanger<br>dangling from the shower rod in the bathroom.) The machine<br>happens to leave them dry enough that overnight is long enough<br>for them to dry, even in damp summer weather. The belts are<br>mostly cotton/lycra.
