Danseurs, who make many quick, scissor-like movements with the legs, need to have somne typoe of support that keeps the equipment out of the way. An athletic supporter, as cut in the USA, has too much room in the pouch.<p>Look a swimmers....they wear racers that do not have a pouch, to keep things out of the way. Did you ever see an Olympic-class swimmer in board shorts?<p>Wrestlers wear special wrestler-briefs. And gymnasts may wear athletic supporters for some types activities.
