Somedays you'll be in classes where you have friends, somedays you'll be in classes where people are not so social! That is the way of the world, not only dance classes. It's good preparation for you!This advice is so sensible, I have nothing to add. Sure, I've run into cliques. Forget them. (Maybe it's better to be excluded. Makes it easier to keep your mind on ballet.) :-) Strange story: A month or so ago, our teacher was laid up with a hernia repair. So as one who's gotten a couple of get-well cards myself, I figured it was payback time & picked up a card, which I put on the piano, telling people to sign it if they wanted.A couple of weeks later, a woman in the class came and *apologized* to me for signing the card without my permission!!!! I told her, this is not a cliquy class, & if it were, I wouldn't be in any of the cliques, & that she was perfectly right to sign the card. But what a strange reaction....Tom[/i]
