Speaking for myself, I don't pretend to be a real dancer, even though I take 2 to 3 classes a week & take the work seriously: I've got a dazzling LACK of talent, & at 72 years of age I'm not only over the hill but well down into the next valley. And no, when I see Baryshnikov or Malakov in the dressing room, I do not see them wearing anything out of the ordinary. But I do take pleasure in wearing dancewear that looks good--probably to compensate for how bad *I* look. That's one of the perks of being a serious amateur.I mention all this to show that there's at least one serious non- professional "danseur" whose pleasure in dancewear is not erotic. But you know, we get a lot of young guys on this forum, & in your teens the most amazing variety of things can carry an erotic wallop. (I probably would have found this so myself at that age.) And of course they want to talk about it & compare notes, if only to reassure one another that they aren't the only ones.I would suggest that if you're going to complain, you might do well to ask why we don't move these discussions over to the "Dancewear Dreams" forum. That would be a good question & one I can't answer.
