In professional ballet, it's the MENS roles that they can't find enough people to fill; they're overflowing with girls.<br>>By not even providing any boy's roles, this ballet studio is sending a strong message: "we see ballet as a girly club thing for the socialization of femininity." That, alas, is not serious ballet. Find another school.<p>I'm not a dancer, just a fan of the art, but I totally agree with Bob's comment. Find a school for your son where boys are wanted and appreciated, and where he will learn the man's role in ballet.<br>[/i]
