>I have had technical training for about a little less than a year, and I want to strengthen my arch. I'm thinking about getting pointe shoes to help me. What do you guys think about it?
>here is my arch now..
>
>
>

I'm a teacher and my advice to you would be DO NOT start pointe work until a professional teacher says you are ready. You need at least 3 years of good classical ballet strengthening and technique work before you can think about pointe.
I cannot see your whole foot from the pcture, but it looks like you have a nice arch. Your ankle could use a bit more work. Try using resistance bands. I love Gaynor Minden's bands. MY students use them and have told me they love them as well.
As for shoes, when you're ready, I'd recommend Gaynor Minden to a beginner only if you have "normal" feet. It looks to me that you have similar feet to mine with a very bony arch. I was never very good in Gaynors. I like Blochs as well as Freeds.
BE patient with your training and it will pay off.
