>>...
>>I feel there is room for all types in a ballet class, as long as they don't >>create a disturbance. 'Nuff said??????
Yup; everyone has their own motivations for everything they do, and I reckon that's fair enough as long as they don't upset other people in any way. (underlined.)

Appollon: (by the way, why are you spelling your name with two P's?) I too am fed up with some of the sicko crap that gets posted up and down these boards - but I don't think it's so easy to draw a line between who's doing ballet for the right reasons, and who's doing it for the wrong reasons. And how can you judge? What if someone who likes the tights etc. is also a very good dancer, and really contributes to class?
If someone's doing ballet for the wrong reasons, they'll either give up after a few lessons, or be asked to leave (if they're obviously being indecent or upsetting other people.)
So Russell, give it a go! Like many other guys, it seems, you may well find something far beyond what you took ballet up for. And if you feel you're a little out of shape - all the more reason to go to class!
Anthony
