I'd rather have fit in with the other ballet guys, than her non-dancing brother.

But I don't ever see that kind of swimwear for sale in any stores around where I live.

If the problem is what kind of swimwear to wear...I always go with the bikini.  I've known lots of male dancers and most are into the briefer styles.  But that's not to say male dancers somewhere aren't wearing boxers.

I will never wear boxers in the water because the material is too bulky, usually stays wet when you come out, and is miserable to sit around in when wet.

Any bikini style, from conservative boxer-briefs (Speedo-like suits that are more than 5 inches at the hip seam), to Speedo-briefs (2 to 4 inches at the hip seam), to bikinis (usually 1 1/2 inches or less at the hip seam) to briefer styles like string-bikinis are typically made from a blend of lycra and nylon which dries quickly.  The lack of bulky material allows for easier swimming.

The bikini style also looks great on a fit body.  The loose boxers make you look like an old man.

Now where to buy a great bikini.... Many places!  I just found a page of links at a web site, www.warriorwolves.org/thong/thongp4.htm, that links you to some of the best sites for men's brief swimwear.  The site, warriorwolves, is kind of strange, and the pages talk about thongs (I only go with a thong bathing suit if I'm with intimate friends), but the sites you can link to are great!

One of those sites is www.parr-intl.com, Parr of Arizona.  They are probably the oldest American maker of men's bikinis, and I wish I had the first one I ordered from them. They have a good selection of styles and fabrics, of many different colors. Parr also sells SWIM CUPS, which are thin foam shields you can put in the front of a swimsuit to even out any bulges.  I always wear a Parr SWIM CUP with my dancebelts, as it will absorb any moisture.

There are always the more recent stand-bys, like International Male and Undergear (Part of International Male).  They have contemporary styles, and their Greek bikini is very nice.

Actually, you haven't worn a bikini until you've bought an Intersparta, from England. They are the most comfortable (and some of the briefest) in the world, in my humble opinion.  I used to do a lot of scuba diving and in warm waters would not dive without my Intersparta.

That warriorwolves web site has links to European sales outlets.

For a standard selection of speedo racing suits, there's a place called Keiffer (? sp) just north of Chicago.  I'll check my catalogue collection for their address and phone number.  They may have a web site, too.

E-mail me if you've got some particular look in mind, and I'll see what I can find.

Hey...it's not like I have a bikini fetish, it's just that I like to look good!  (My ex was just jealous because I look so sexy in bikinis!)

Now that we've got you dressed properly for the pool and beach, let's get to the real problem.....

If you want to fit into your ballet clique, wearing great looking bikinis may not help!  You might look so good that they'll become jealous!

What are the dynamics of this group?  Why are they snobbish towards you.  There are some details that you've left out.  I'd like to discuss these when you're ready.

Talk to you soon!  balletboy
