Actually I think we agree.  When I get dressed to dance, I might get a momentary "rise" (to use your term).  Maybe it's the dancebelt, maybe just the anticipation of the dance experience.  But once I'm in the studio, it's serious, and mostly work.  I'm basically not aware of my clothes.  Every once in while, usually while just standing around waiting for my turn, I'll get a little feeling to remind me that I am wearing the tightest support device anybody ever thought of.

>I wear lycra compression shorts at the gym, so a dancebelt is superfluous.  But even if I didn't wear compression shorts, I'm not sure I'd wear a dancebelt - I like to run on the treadmill as a way to warm up.  A dancebelt would be counterproductive while running, unless I had the nerves in my anal sphincter desensitized first!

Running in a dancebelt is specifically NOT recommended!
