Other pointe shoes may work well too but are pricey.  If you're just beginning, I would go for an inexpensive shoe and work up from there.  Discount Dance Supply has Sansha's in stock and you can take a look at their sizing charts to help find a correct fit.  They should fit snugly.  Write later about your experiences, I have ideas on cutting the shank etc. if you have trouble "getting over".  Please, don't be embarrassed about going en pointe! It's getting more and more popular.
