White or black shoes are optional depending upon the school dress code and your preference. White shoes give your instructor a better opportunity to observe what your feet are doing. If you choose to wear white shoes, very thin white socks can be worn with them. Black footed tights can be worn without additional socks if you want to really feel the floor.
