Ed, what do you mean by "open class"?  One where you can just dropin, or one that's open to any level of competence whatever?  If thelatter, I encountered one at Broadway Dance a couple of summersago.  People of all levels, from near-professionals all the waydown to me.

If you mean, a "drop-in" class...well, I'm prejudiced. (We're allprejudiced, if it comes to that: we all tend to think the place wego is the best.) So bear that in mind. I myself take an adultbeginners' class with Robert Atwood at Steps.  He's thorough, VERYclear, good natured & good humored.  He has developed a following over the years, & no wonder.

But actually, the best policy is just to shop around.  What worksfor one person may not for another, & I've found that shoppingaround can be very revealing, very interesting, and even fun attimes.
