written by Kirk on 01.03. at 23:23:25 In the past two years, Maximum has presented works by Danny Roessel (assistant artistic director, Royal Ballet of Flanders) Kevin O'Day, Julia Adams, Ivonice Satie (former principal dancer, City Ballet of San Paulo) and a first time effort by Margorie Hardwick (principal dancer with the Atlanta Ballet) not to mention a dynamic presentation of a work by Maurice Bejart with current Bejarte company member (and former Miami City and New York City dancer) Myrna Kamara. In June, Maximum will be presenting a World Premiere choreographed by Mark Morris specifically for David and Yanis. I am sure that you receive a lot of unsolicited information about “new” dance companies, but come on. This is pretty hot stuff. I am not going to hide my bias. I am fortunate to be a member of the Board of Maximum, but I have no history in dance.
