You shouldn't care what they or anyone else thinks about it, Most people think guys that do ballet are gay but thats where they're wrong, people have made a great living in ballet. So who cares if you have to wear tights, and who cares if people make fun of you, if it is something you want to do then go for it. Most Likely you'll be in a class with girls the least thing that might happen is they'll make fun of you, they will probably help and encourage you.
